The internet is known as a vast network that connects computers all over the world. The internet was created by Bob Kahn and Vent Cerf who are both American computer scientists. They developed TCIP/IP which are protocols that governs how data moves through a network. The internet back then was primarily used for government researchers to share information.  The internet allows people to share information and communicate from anywhere with an internet connection.

The World Wide Web refers to all the public websites or pages that users can access on their local computers and other devices through the internet. Tim Berners-lee who was a British scientist created the World Wide Web in 1989. The point of the WWW was to merge the evolving technologies of computers, data networks and hypertext into powerful and easy to use global information system. The World Wide Web is used for a vast majority of things in todays day

The internet and the World Wide Web work together but they are two totally different things. The World Wide Web are the pages and websites you go on and the internet is what allows you to access these pages. Without the internet, the World Wide Web would not be a thing which is why these two things are totally different but work together

The first website was created on August 6, 1991 by Tim Berners-Lee. This site was created to inform people about the world wide web itself. When I looked up if this website is still up it says yes but when I plugged the URL in it says not found. I guess this website is not up anymore.

Hedy Lamarr is said to be the "mother of Wi-fi". She was an Austrian-American actress and inventor. She is said to have pioneered the technology that would one day form the basis for todays wifi, gps, and bluetooth communication systems. There is a song written about Hedy Lamarr which was written by Johnny Depp. Johnny Depp dedicates this song about her and says "This is a song for Ms. Hedy Lamarr," the song's hook goes. "Erased by the world that made her a star, strung on beauty, trapped by its web, she's a perfect cocoon twined in gold thread."

Jaap Haarsten, in 1994, laid the foundations for bluetooth systems. This would later allow devices to be able to connect with one another. The logo for bluetooth has a deeper history meaning. It was base on an analogy that the technology would unite devices the way Harald bluetooth united the tribes of Denmark into a single kingdom. The bluetooth logo uses Harald's initials

There were two inventors of Wi-Fi, Hedy Lamarr, and George Antheil. They received the patent in 1942. Wifi was first made to make radio-guided torpedoes harder to detect or jam. The original name of wifi was WaveLAN but was later changed to wifi due to the similarity to "hi-fi". The term wi-fi was first commercially used as early as August 1999.
