Abstract: The art of design

One photo from the documentary that brought me close to my emotions was the image of the military person aiming his gun. Im not sure why but this image brought a sense of fear to me. What we see in the image is a man in full military clothes with what looks like a helmet on his head aiming a gun. You can assume a lot from this photo but then again nobody really knows what's happening. That's what I like about photography. There's so much to see but there's so much that you don't know and can assume. We don't know if this was just a photoshoot or if this man is actually at war or in a fight. All we know is that he's there, aiming that assault rifle.

I am not a fan of editing photos because I feel as if it takes the realness out of them. Nowadays everyone is editing photos wether it is editing your teeth to be more white, or editing your arms to be bigger, or even editing people out of photos. This is stripping the photo from reality and making people believe things that aren't real. I think that is an extremely big problem in society especially with teenagers. Everyone is getting false hopes from images seen online which is causing mental health issues in teens since we are so prone to believing things.

This image is with me and my roommates/Best friends from my home town. We were out to dinner at a restaurant at the International Mall. I chose this image because is shows connection between my friends and I. Images like these are able to display connection because its just three friends smiling out to eat. What you can see is us three at a restaurant smiling but there is much more you can assume which is what I described earlier about how powerful photographs can be. Pictures with friends are super important because it allows you to look back at memories that you have made with people you love.
